Art Therapy

Art Therapy involves the making of visual images through paining, drawing, clay modelling and collage, and it uses the creative process as the primary tool for growth. You do not need any artist skills, just a willingness to experiment using different art materials.

Creating art allows the client an alternative to using words to express how they are feeling and enables them to connect with difficult issues they feel unable to talk about. This art making process combined with therapy is designed to assist the client in making positive changes in their personality and life style that will outlast the session itself and help towards achieving full potential.

Art allows a client to achieve a meeting place between their inner and outer world. Art Therapy offers a ‘bridge’ between the individuals inner and outer experiences.
